Was always my local, being brought up in Wortwell for 18 years. But has now become "our local" after buying a caravan nearby at Waveney Valley Lakes! Staff friendly, chatty, whilst still being efficient.Good range of beers, and food in generous portions whilst being extremely tasty! Sausage-and-mash and beefburgrs both highly recommended! Looking forward to tasing the other items on the menu!less

Terrible attitude from owner/cook. Roast very poor value and quality terrible. Other food seem to be anything that can be deep fried or microwave heated. less

Visited here today on a whim as was in the area and wanted a quick bite to eat at a local and traditional pub. Super quaint with an extremely welcoming atmosphere. The menu is quite vast and offers what I would call, proper and traditional food. Nothing fancy, but that’s certainly not what we were after anyhow. These types of places are almost a dying breed which is a shame. The service was fantastic from a lovely young gentlemen who couldn’t be any more friendly and attentive. The food was lovely, fresh, hot and tasty. I only had one slight negative in that the dining area was a little chilly. However, we were drinking and eating and soon forgot about it anyhow! Would definitely recommend popping here for a bite and a pint. Will visit again if out this way. Thank you for a lovely and filling lunch. Ooooh, the toilets were spotlessly clean also and plenty of anti bac points should you require them.less

Lovely starter, presented well and very tasty. The main meal disappointing, the meat was not freshly cook, obviously cooked previously and frozen, very little taste. Roast potatoes and parsnip were very sad, no colour to parsnips and roast were brown, but soft, not golden and crispy, Yorkshire pud was good, and plenty of other vegetables and gravy.. Dessert was lovely. Staff excellent, friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough. Very clean.less
Four of us went for dinner as a family get together. Four meals were ordered but only Three appeared, the conscientious girl who took the order disturbed her game of darts to admit that she must have missed an order. I had decided on cottage pie, what a big mistake, no flavour, no texture, I only ate it because I hadn't eaten since breakfast and I was starving. The other two meals were just as bad but they will be getting their own reviews. Never again less
